BACKCOUNTRY SKI AND SNOWBOARD COURSES
One, two and tree day courses focused on reading and moving through backcountry terrain.
Going beyond the controlled areas into the backcountry
is a natural progression in skiing and snowboarding.
It’s the freedom of being able to go and ride a prefect
line you see somewhere out there, of seeing more and
moreoptions.
However, this is a delicate beauty governed by the laws
of nature’s mountains. These laws should be carefully
learned, read and respected. As far as it relates to
riding technique the courses aim at making you a safer,
gentler and more confident rider. The courses combine
off-piste technique attuned to the specifics of the
ungroomed terrain and a vision how to safely use the
shapes of the mountain.
Multi-day courses also include a hike and some of the
best descents in the Pirin Mountains.
Courses emphasize on:
Terrain analysis - reading and interpreting the terrain,
choosing a line, identifying danger zones, safe zones,
escape lines;
Snow – analysis of snow conditions, avalanche awareness,
weather analysis, transceiver search.
Technical performance evaluation.
