FREE MOUNTATINS

The “Free Mountains” association is a voluntary, non-political, non-government organization. Members of the organization are professional mountain guides, professional athletes, respected mountaineers, members of the mountain rescue squad and many others sharing our ideas. Our wish is to preserve this part of Bulgaria’s unique nature, which still remains unaffected by commercialization and to showing it to those who would like to touch it while avoiding the routine tourist routes. One of our principal aims is to allow everyone to experience this touch in accordance with their personal desires and capabilities at maximum safety. This is why a big part of FM’s initiatives are focused in that direction. Apart from our ideas for environmental protection and preservation, safety in the mountains and high professionalism, we believe that all mountaineers are friends, yet to meet….
