With the onset of the last days of spring skiing in mid April FM’s experienced and certified guides will be pleased to bring you a taste of Bulgaria through mountain biking or white water sports.
Water
FM’s water sports special specializes in kayaking, canoeing and rafting. We offer sever kayaking programs consists of white-water kayaking; kayak touring – which includes either touring of lakes or touring down the Danube, hosting for two weeks in mid August the international kayak tour called TID; and kayak safaris. As the transport of kayaks may prove to be a considerable hassle you may also rent one in Bulgaria.
 
Wheels
Whether you’re interested in checking out our nature on wheels or you’re a true downhill lover we will hook you up with your perfect guide. From one, two or three day trips with daily denivelation of 250m and 10 to 15 km a day to a demanding week or more spent in the high mountains the choice is yours. Bikes may be rented in Bulgaria.

Mountain Bike in Bulgaria
A sports and adventure program giving you the opportunity to discover actively Bulgaria’s natural beauty – mountains, natural parks and lakes, to challenge yourself physically and to relax spiritually.
The program involves crossing by mountain bike 3 mountain ranges – the Balkan Range, Sredna Gora and the Rodopi Mountains, and includes visits to monasteries, museums and architectural landmarks.
Accommodation: small private hotels and boarding-houses which will allow you to relax in the typical atmosphere of mountain villages and small hotels.
Food: picnic lunches, breakfast and dinner in restaurants, a taste of the famous Bulgarian wines and yogurt, produced by the locals at whose home you’ll be staying.
Level of Difficulty: 5-6 hour day trips by mountain bike. A reasonable level of physical fitness and endurance, ability to shift speeds, plus previous experience in biking over rugged terrain is required. Elongation of the day trips depending on customer preference is also possible.
Relief: mostly black roads with daily ascension up to 800m, old roman roads along almost horizontal ridges, and quiet interurban asphalt roads with hardly any traffic.
Equipment: aluminum medium class mountain bikes, fitted with SHIMANO – ACCERA and ALIVIO, without a front shock-absorber which is not necessary for this category of difficulty. Should you choose to use your own bike there will be a price reduction.
