Todorka
Peak overlooks the ski slopes of the resort of Bansko making it
easily accessible. For the past three seasons the North face of
the peak has hosted the Mad Goat Extreme Competition. The North,
South and East faces are all skiable providing numerous freeriding
possibilities both above and below treeline for extreme skiers
and powder lovers alike. |

Cherna
Mogila is the birthplace of lift-assisted freeriding in Bulgaria.
The lift considered to be in a dangerous area was closed down
a few years ago and is now being reconstructed to be ready for
next season, opening an entire valley of fresh pow. |
Vihren

| Vihren
is the highest peak in Pirin offering one of the most beautiful
views of the area. The route involves skiing along ridges and down
bowls with a finish line through one of Bulgaria’s oldest forests.
The hike is moderately difficult and requires a good level of fitness. |

Peak

Right
next to Vihren Kutelo’s white pyramid offers spectacular open
and untracked terrain – the ideal place for those searching for
that fleeting perfect turn. Participants have to be in reasonably
good shape. |
Gazey
and Polejan Peaks

Accessible
with the help of a chair lift just 15km out of Bansko and a relatively
undemanding hike the two neighboring peaks offer a number of skiable
couloirs leading down to the valley of the Damjanitza River in
the heart of Ulen National Park - an excellent playground for
powder freaks. Skiing down the valley of the river ends beautiful
day in the mountains back in the town of Bansko. |

Musala

| Musala
is the highest peak on the Balkan Peninsula. A number of routes
can be skied depending on individual preferences and snow conditions
including an 18 km long forest ride to the resort of Borovetz. |

Seven Lakes

Located
in the heart of the Rila Mountain the Seven Lakes are sacred to
Bulgarians and even more so to backcountry lovers unmistakably
offering a generous serving of freshies. Apart from hiking it
is also possible to reach the lakes with a snowcat machine at
a reasonable price. The drag lift above the hut allows visitors
to check out a number of steep chutes surrounding the lake before
riding down to the starting point through a beautiful well spaced
forest.

The White
Couloir
Height: 2500m
Location: Rila Mountain, Maljovitza Valley

The
White Couloir is undoubtedly our gem. The dramatic chute is flanked
on each side by rock ribs some of which reach 200m. The breathtaking
couloir is more suited for experienced skiers seeking a challenge,
its intricate terrain requiring experienced and knowledgeable
guiding. Not only will you enjoy skiing unforgettable terrain
but the trip will take you to the doorstep of the Rila Monastery
– on of Bulgaria’s top attractions. |
Maljovitza
Valley
One of the favorite winter wonderland areas
with a number of ascents immediately adjacent to the valley (starting
from 1730, the highest point being Maljovitza Peak at 2729m) leading
to anything from steep chutes to wide virgin slopes – sweet turns
being the only way back down. |
