МISSION

Based in Sofia during the summer, and Bansko for the winter, “Free Mountains” offer the whole range of guiding services year-round both in Bulgaria and abroad. Our programs vary from fun beginner climbing courses for the whole family to serious high-mountain ascents all over the world. Our programs include summer and winter ascents of Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Gran Paradiso, Grossglockner, Materhorn, Dome des Ecrins, Olymp, Smolikas; climbing courses in the Dolomites, French Alps, Meteora, Varasova, Macedonia; Mera Peak /Nepal/ expedition; backcountry ski and snowboard trips to the Alps, Greece, Turkey, Romania and India, numerous summer and winter groups in the Bulgarian mountains, avalanche courses, freeriding technique.
Our belief that spending time in the mountains apart from being a great pleasure is also a great responsibility, made us accept the 1:2 and 1:3 guide to client ratio, meaning that a guide is available to every two /respectively three/ people. Regardless if it is a children’s beginner climbing course or an expedition to Nepal, our guides will make your experience fun and memorable.
